LEXINGTON STAKES HAVE FILLED WELL. Judge Shelley Reports All Horses at Kentucky Tracks in Good Health. Lexington. Ky.. February 10. — Stakes for the Kentucky As-ociat mis spring meeting of cloven days, beginning April 2S. closed today. Secretary «.. D. Wilson slid the entries are coming iu satisfactorily. He also announced that 114 two-year-olds are eligible t the Breeders Futurity, which is to be run next fall. Judge William II. Shelley, who as usual is to be the Kentucky A— ociations racing secretary for 1917. came to Lexington from Louisville today and vi-Itad the track. He will begin the preparation of his program book about April 1. "To me the prospects tor racing." said he. "never leaked better. It -corns like the local track will again be taxed to its capacity. There are plenty of horses aad plenty of good ones. The Ben Ali Handicap, a new event for three-year-olds and over, will furnish a good line on the Camden Handicap. It will be quite as attractive as the Camden, to which it is a preliminary. It also is likely to attract candidates for the Kentucky Derby, since it will be a good spot for a man to get a line on his three-year-old. I find that there is not a sick horse among the 201 here aud every one is ready to go galloping as soon as the weather will permit. The health of tie- horses at Douglas Park and Churchill Downs is us good as it is licre, uot a sick horse."
