TENNESSEEANS HOPEFUL OF RACING. New Orleans. La.. Fibril try 111.— Colonel Brinkley Baawdea. Captain James ii. Bee* ami several more prominent citizens of Memphis are here. They are of til" opinion that the Tennessee racing bill, allowing the use of aratael machines, will be passed by the Tennessee legislature. All of the profits of the meetings are to go to the schools and for good roads. It will come up in the legislature next week. Mr. Snowden is the sponsor of the bill and thinks it will pass. He is a wealthy BUM and a Sad sportsman. His father. Col. It. B. Snowden. was a close Mead of Col. II. H. Montgomery they being the founders of the Montgomery Park race track. If the bill passes a uiet-tiug will be given at Memphis iu April.
