AUSTRIAN JOCKEY CLUBS JUBILEE. On February 17 the Austrian Jockey Club celebrated its "Jubilee." the club having been founded on that day fifty years ago. The original stewards were Count Nicolas Ksterhazy. Prince Rohan and Count O. Wolkenstein. and they established the Austrian Derby, the initial race in 1MB, being won by Wisschrad. a colt by Starke an American -bred stallion, which had won the Goodwood Cup of lSiil In England for H. Ten Broeck. Wissehrads dam was Miss Partridge by Annnndale. which traced buck in tail-female to Cressida dam of the Derby winner Priam. Starke was a chestnut horse by Wagner — Reel and so a half brother to Lecoxupte, Prioress and War Dance.
