HORSES READY TO WIN AT LEXINGTON. Lexington. Ky., May 5. — Fast work was in order at the Kentucky Association course before the rain of Thursday night. Monotony worked a fast mile in 1:44%, Obi Broom, same distance in 1:45: Col. Marchmont in 1:44%, and Pin Feather in 1:46. The fastest work at a mile, however, was Kmil Hers colt Daddys Choice in 1:42%, the fractions being 2.1, .10 and 1:1.1.* Jefferson Livingstons-speedy Colonel Vennie also went a fast mile, going the distance in l:43Vi. The three-year-old Stesty displayed good speed in working a mile in 1:43%. Westy Hogan, Derby candidate, worked a mile and an eighth in 1:50%, the fractional time Ixing fast throughout, the quarter being in 23, three-eighths in 35. half in 47%, five-eighths in 1:00%, three-quarters in 1:27% and mile in 1:41. Other good work included Marauder, half mile in 50%; Good Ballot, half mile In 50%; Velvet Joe. three-quarters in 1:17%; Jane Francis, three-eighths in 30%; King Gorin, five-eighths in 1:03; Best, three-eighths in 37; Skyborn, half mile in 51; Saffron Girl, five-eighths in 1:04; Sleeper, three-quarters in 1:17; Busy Joe, three-quarters in 1:18; Viva America, three-eighths in 30; Blaise, five-eighths in 1:04, and Sister Susie, five-eighths in 1:05.
