Firenze raced from 1880 to 1891, six seasons, started eighty-one times and won forty-six races and 12,5S0. Several horses have won more than one race the same day in this country. At Hawthorne in 1892 The Hero won twice in que afternoon and at Benning in 1S99 Sidney Lucas performed the same feat. November 21, 190G, New York finished second in two races at Benning; , July 14 of the same year at Rockingham Park, won one and was second iu another race.
