GOSSIP FROM THE BLUE GRASS -STATE Trainer W. J. Youns Leaves for Charleston, .S. C,, to Train Sanford Horses. Lexington, Ky., December 27. F. A. Pope, Cincinnati druggist, yesterday purchased the yearling chestnut filly by Dick Welles--Vanessa "dam of 15at Masterson from Thomas Piatt of the firm of Care and Piatt and she was -shipped today to Latonia to be trained by the owners brother. , William J. Young left here today for Charleston, S. C, to begin his employment as trainer for John Sanford, whose liorses are wintering at Palmetto Park. 1 . Compilation of the catalog for the dispersal sale of the Wiekliffe Stud and stable of thoroughbreds at Kingston Farm January 15, is under way and thu book will lie issued January 1. The following mares have arrived at A. R. Hancocks Claiborne Stud at Paris, Kentucky, from the Ilelair Stud in Maryland, to be bred to Wrack and Rock View: Raditiou Russian Sable sister to Ornament. The Reef, daughter of Pyramid, sister to Priscillian and half-sister to Strontboli, Arrowshaft. Kilorea, Smilax and Stellatn and from the same stud. Moisant and Prinzessin have arrived at Ellersliu Stud, Charlottesville, Virginia to be bred to Celt.
