CURRENT NOTES OF THE TURF Trainer Steve Lawler is looking about for a few horses to race this spring. W. T. RIggs. secretary of the Slaryland Jockey Club, is a visitor in New York on business connected witli the coming spring meeting at Pimlico. Declarations are due March 1 from four of the stakes of the Saratoga Hacing Association. They are from the Travers and the Alabama for both the 1919 ami 1920 runnings, and the Hopeful of 1919. Steeplechase jockey Klenck writes from France that he expects to be back in the United States in June and intends to begin riding immediately on his return. He says lie weighs 130 pounds and is in fine condition.
