SEATTLE BUSINESS MEN FAVOR RACING Indorse Bill for Racing Commission Recently Introduced in Washington Legislature. SEATTLE, Wash.. February 7. The proposed Washington state racing bill, recently introduced in the house of representatives at Olyrapin by Robert Grass of King County, providing for the appointment of a commission of three members to govern racing in this state, received the indorsement of a number of men prominent in business affairs in Seattle, in a petition recently circulated. The measure has already been Indorsed by the Spokane Interstate Fair Association, the Tacoina Speedway Association and the busines men of Ta-coma, and is receiving favorable support from counties throughout the- state. S. C. Nuckols, Jr., secretary of. the Kentucky State Racing Commission, who "was asked regarding the Kentucky State Racing Commission, pointed out duties and assistance given to the various fuir associations and meets of the state and the benefits derived by the breeding interests under helpful rules and regulations encouraging an interest in thoroughbred and high-grade horses. Should the measure become a law in this state, it is the present plans of the Seattle association lo apply for a license for twenty-five days racing each year for this city.
