TO MAKE JUMPER OUT OF BLUE LADDIE NEW YORK, N. Y., September 17. Early in the year high hopes were entertained that II. I. Whitneys Blue Laddie would be among the contenders for the three-year-old crown. Such has not been tlie case. While Blue Laddie "can run for fun. but not for money," as his trainer, James Rowe, recently remarked, the son of Cylgad has proved a big- disappointment to his owner :-i;0 trainer; so much s.i, tint he has been turned ever to Mrs. .lyne Whit-n-.y. who will have him schooled Cor cross-country racing.
