GOOD PRICES AT KENTUCKY SALE LEXINGTON, Ky.. September 17. At the Ken tucky Sales Companys auction in Tnttersalls Tuesday night fifty-four yearling thoroughbreds brought S,225, an average of . The eighteen head of youngsters bred in Oklahoma by AVilliams Brothers brought 0,125, an average- of approximately ,700, and they furnished the interest for the large attendance. They were "generally" well grown and well formed, the chestnut colt by Martinet and the splendid race mare Druid, dam of Gainer. Hauberk, Kate Adams and Irra Waddy. was the top of the sale. George A. Rain, the auctioneer, experienced little difficulty in getting ,500 for him. His purchaser is M. R. Harned of Louisville, who is coming back to the turf, and it is understood that C. C. Van Meter will train for him. Mr. Harued also bought four others. The five yearlings knocked down to John A. Haynes of Baltimore were purchased for the account of Edward McBride and Avere shipped to Maryland this morning, among them being the half-brother to Belle Roberts, by Horron Chestnut Belle, half-sister to Alice Baird, the dam of Marjorie Hynes, which brought ,200. The fourteen head sold for the accountof Cairr and Piatt brought ,450. v ;
