General manager Edward Burke has everything ready for the September meeting of the Harford Agricultural and Breeders Association, which will begin on Saturday with the running of the ,000 Harford County Handicap, a dash of one mile and a sixteenth for three-year-olds and over. The stake features of the meeting will be renewals of the 0,000 Eastern Shore, a race of three-quarters of a mile, for three-year-olds of botli sexes; the 0,000 Potomac Handicap, a race of one mile and u sixteenth, for three-year-olds exclusively, and the 0,000 Havre de Grace Handicap, a race of one mile and an eighth, for three-year-olds and over. The overnight purses will yield from ,1:00 to ,400 each in added money. The track is in splendid condition, and brisk wotk has been done over it, by Edward B. McLeans The Porter, a prospective starter in the Harford County Handicap; also by Leochares, a rejuvenated veteran of the McLean stable; Blue Wrack and Grnyssian of the stable of A. H. Diaz of Havana; Robert Waldens mare Quietude, and his two-year-old Dark Horse, which is to bear the scarlet Jacket of Alfred Hennen Morris in the Eastern Shore, and J. Edwin Griffiths .leg, a winner in Maryland last spring and another prospective starter in the Eastern Shore. The Porter, which won the last race in which he started at Saratoga, covering one mile in 1:37, seems to be as good as any horse here. The rest he got at Saratoga through the last three weeks of August put an edge on his speed. Dark Horse, which did not race at Saratoga, but came down to Maryland immediately after the finish of the Empire City Jockey Clubs meeting, is outworking all the other two-year-olds . at Havre de Grace.
