FUTURITY WINNER IS WELL BRED; COST OWNER ,600 AS YEARLING Step Lightly, winner of the Futurity, was bred by Miss Elizabeth Daingerfield of Haylands Stud, Lexington, Ky., and Samuel Ross of Washington, D. C. She was sold at the Saratoga sales of 1910 to her present owner for 1920.sh,600, and her victory illustrates the fortune which frequently favors a newcomer in racing. Tripping, the dam of Step Lightly, is by Delhi, a son of Ben Brush, while he second dam is Fairy Slipper, by St. Serf, a so.-i of St. Simon. It is the first winner of a great race which has been bred by Mis Daingerfield in divldually, although she was her fathers right hand when Major Daingerfield was manager for James R. Keene and sending champions yearly from the famous Castleton Stud.
