MATOURNEEN rushed into the lead and set a fast pace to the last stxteenth, then tired. JOAN MARIE raced next to the inner rail all the way ami easily outstayed the others. LIGnT ROSE, a forward contender for the first quarter, was shutlled back on the last turn and could never recover. GOOD BYE showed speed. FLAMBETTE and HONEY GIRL were hard ridden.
