HIGH COMMAND WORKS A FAST MILE LEXINGTON Ky April S With jockey J Howard in the saddle High Command which is to carry the colors of Major T C McDowell in the Ben AH Handicap here on the opening day and the Camden Handicap on the closing day if all goes well with him provided the most interesting per ¬ formance of this morning at the Kentucky Jockey Club track when he worked a mile in 141 Dis ¬ tinction from the same stable worked in 144 Lady Madcap did her mile in the same time run ¬ ning the first half of it in 48 James II Bakers Cinderella did a mile with weight up ill 144 Slip along did it in 142 Red Leaf and Bright Trash twoyearolds from the J W Parrish string worked a half in 49 49Shortly Shortly before noon it rained and the track will be muddy tomorrow but the wetting will do the course good since there was considerable new soil that needed assimilation assimilationInformation Information from Woodford County is to the effect that Stockwell recently retired by J S Hawkins killed Astronomer owned by Captain Cassatt
