I j 1 SALE OF ROSS YEARLINGS Colt by Marathon-Jacquelina Brings Top Price Two Marathon Fillies Also Sell Well. MOXTREAL, Que., September 5. The auction sale of the yearlings from the farm of J. K. L. Ross at Verchercs took place in the paddock at P.Iue Bonnets and was attended with success. Tin; youngsters, the crop of Marathon and Fitz Yilliam, the latter an im.rted horse, were the first victims to be sold at public auction in this city. The star of the sale was a bay colt by Marathon Jaequelina. He was sold to Mr. D. Cowell for .,000. Two fillies also realized good figures, one by Marathon Smirk and the other by the same siii?, dam Delia Mack. It is understood that Mr. Cowell was acting for H. G.
