CARPET SWEEPER closed a big gap and was going fastest of nil at the finish. VALOR.- under slight restraint In the early running, moved up menacingly in the stretch, but tired in the final drive. MERCURY showed much early speed and raced into the lead, but tired. CRYSTAL FORI ran well. ROMANY set the early pace brieily. CRACK O DAWN was shullled back soon after tin; start.
