HORSE SALE AT AQUEDUCT Consignments from Stable of Late S. A. Cloptort and Other Owners Sold at Auction. NEW YORK, N. Y., September 22. The sale of horses belonging to the estate of the late S. A. Clopton and consignments from several other ownera was held in the Aqueduct race track paddock today. Moody, the three-year-old son of Broomstick Contrary, proved the star of the sale. After a spirited bidding contest he was sold to R. E. Wat-kins for ,000. Grace B., two-year-old daughter of Friar Rock Maud B. L., fell to E. G. Shaeffers bid of ,500. Max Gold, a two-year-old Ormondale colt, also went to Shaeffer at ,100. Shaeffer was acting for the account of J. S. Farnum and will train the horses for their new owner. Lady Delhi, the property of David Gideon, was knocked down to J. W. Hall for ,700 and Vulcanize, also the property of Mr. Gideon, which won a race Wednesday, brought ,000 from R. E. Wat-kins.
