Won easily; second and third driving. MAWRCORON took the lead quickly and, setting a good pace, held the race safe all the way. COMMANDER McMEEKIN raced in closest and game pursuit all the way and outstayed DOUGHNUT for second place. The latter began slowly but saved ground throughout on the streteh turn and finished fast in the deepest going, and would have been second in a few more strides. BELLATRIX had no mishaps, but tired in the stretch drive. ROSE HILL began slowly. WITCHWORK and TULWAR tan bad races. Scratched 57295 Matches Mary, 107. JAY BIRD fenced cleanly and showed excellent speed, but tired in the final drive. AVON BEAR took the lead under stout restraint at the twelfth jump, but his rider continued to take him back. SUPER stumbled at the start and was far out of contention in the first eighth, but moved up steadily on the outside and came fast through the stretch, but failed to ..quite get up. REP set the early pace and was a prominent and game contender for the entire race. EMOTION met with slight early interference, but had a clear course through the stretch and finished resolutely, but could not withstand the winners challenge. PENITENT acted fractiously at the barrier, but began well and, racing WISHBONE into defeat, took the lead, but was tiring at the end. WISHBONE set a fast early pace and tired. PRODIGIOUS raced well.
