Second Meeting Failure Financially, but Quality of Racing Is Maintained The Winners. The second and final meeting of the year at Connaught Park was not n success financially, as tlie Government Exhibition held at the same time in Ottawa hurt the attendance and the club had to stand a loss of about 0,000. The racing itself was of a good quality. During the seven days of the meeting, held from September 13 to September 20, forty-nine races were run and 0,550 dis- tributed among the horsemen, the daily average dis-I tribution amounting to ,792.86.
