Won driving; second and third the same. DOVESROOST was close up in the early running and, coming on the outside when entering the stretch, finished fast and got up to win in the last stride. HILLSDALE quickly raced into a long load and should have won, but his rider became overconfident and allowed his mount to be eased up too early. FANNIE BEAN began flatfooted, but saved ground on the turns and finished fast. SWORD ran well and was on the outside throughout. CHATEAUGAY was outpaced. FORMISTRESS moved up with a rush in the second turn of the field, but tired. BEN HAMPSON was always outrun. KISMER lost his rider at t e Twelfth jump and SEA SUN broke down when going to the tenth.
