Won easily; second and third driving. RAPID STRIDE, In closest pursuit from the start, wore COLUMBIA TENN down in the stretch and withstood the rush or MABEL G. The latter raced forwardly and finished fast and gamely. COLUMBIA TENN showed the most speed to the last eighth and tired badly. DORIC ran well and finished close up. ROMANCE tired and quit badly. PINDAR PEEL raced LUGS into defeat in the first half and took the. lead, but began tiring when lie was taken into deep going and just lasted to win, DEMOS, taken baok in the early running, had good going in the stretch and, gaining steadily, almost got up to win. LUGS tired and swerved badly in the last eighth after leading to the stretch turn. TCLANE ran fairly well. MAXIMAC finished well.
