9 TIJUANA TO OPEN THANKSGIVING DAY SAN FRANCISCO, Cal., September 22. Word received from J. W. Coffroth, who is now in the City of Mexico, assures Tijuanas race meeting. The opening is scheduled for Thanksgiving Day. About the same purses and stakes which were given last winter will again be offered. It is possible that the Coffroth Handicap, which last year had a value of 0,000, will be increased to 5,000. This allows Tijuana to outrival all winter tracks from a standpoint of rich stakes. The same officials who governed the racing last year will again be seen at the Mexican plant, including Francis Nelson, presiding steward, Leon Wing, racing secretary, and Harry Morrissey, starter.
