SWIFTCRICKET set a fast pace into a safe lead and held BARRISKANE safe in the stretch drive. BARRISKANE raced in nearest pursuit all the way and was tiriug at the end. but outstayed pRRIS. Tlie latter finished with a rush. THE WAG tired in the final eighth. LADY ZEUS was fractious and propped at the start. SELOTA Sot a good pace, but succumbed when challenged and, swerving to tlio inner rail, interfered With SOnH HUEEZE. The latter was forced to ho taken up and finished fast on the outside; LITTLE AMM1H rah well and had no mishaps. DISSOLUTE Xiuished fai;t. JTSTINA E. quit. SERAPIS forced a fast early pace and finished fast and gamely. BY JIMINY made a fast pace to the stretch, but tired in the last eighth. RALCO was shut off when he attempted to go through on the inside at the half-mile post and could never get up afterward. HOI1EY BAKER showed much speed for three-quarters, then quit.
