RAINY AND SNOWING AT MONTREAL MONTREAL, Que., October 12. Jockey E. T. Moores ovcranxiety to add to his lengthy list of recent winnings cost him 25, together with the warning that repetition of his offense Would bring nioro serious consequences, when he carried Kebo to the outside fence in the mile and seventy yard race which featured this afternoons racing at the Maisonneuve track. Moore, who has been riding in fine form, had the mount on Semper Stalwart. He set a fast early pace and held a lead which was apparently safe until Kcbo rumed upon the outside in the final half mile and got up on even terms as they turned for home. Moore carried his opponent to the extreme outside of the track, but Kebo was the stronger and, coming on with great sameness, won by a neck. Moore rode three winners yesterday and Eugene Lutz, who developed the boy, lias received a couple of good offers for h.s contract. It is likely that Moores services will be old in the near future. He is one of the best apprentice boys riding on the local tracks. Decidedly cold weather with cloudy skies and occasional showers of rain, witji a sprinkling of snow on one occasion, formed the most disagreeable racing conditions possible, but a fair-sized crowd turned out. Most of the victories were scored by wide margins. Dependence and Count Boris each made it three straight victories by, winning the races in which they wero entered this afternoon. A claim was entered for Pepper Tea. winner of the opening dash, by J. A. Lewis, trainer of Muz-zey, who signed himself as agent for K. W. Roles-stou, owner of Muzzey, but as Lewis had no authority to act as agent the claim was thrown out.
