CURRENT NOTES OF THE TURF Sir Ernest Casscl, the noted English turfman, who died recently, left an estate valued at 1,-000,000. Trainer J. W. Healy has taken Lough Eagle and Rib and will school them through the field for steeplechasing. X. S. Vail will race Sans Peur II., Hasten On and several other horses at Tijuana during the coming meeting at the Mexican track. H. E. Davis will ship sixteen horses to Cuba for the winter meeting at Oriental Park, which commences on Thanksgiving Day. S. Polk will ship Bardora, Peerless One, Colonel Matt, Franklin, Iucoguance and Plow Steel to Tijuana at the conclusion of the Laurel meeting. Trainer H. Rites has severed his connections with the S. L. Jenkins stable and will in the future confine his activities to the training of the horses of J. E. Griffiths.
