MAC0MBER HORSES FOR CALIFORNIA NEW YORK, X. Y.,- October 29. W. B. Jennings will retire the A. K. Macomber horses which he has campaigned on the metropolitan circuit this year to winter quarters at San Jose, Cal. The string consists of eight two-year-olds, of which the best known is Story Teller. The shipment to California will he made Tuesday. Mr. Macomber at the present time has four two-year-olds and fourteen yearlings at San Jose. The imported stallion Kingdom II., by Maintenon Kings Favour, by Pcrsimmou, was sold by Mr. Jennings, acting for Mr. Macomber, to the Green-tree Stable. The Frenchman was shipped to Red Bank. X. J., where lie will receive a cross-country education. Mr. Jennings, who lias been ill, will leave for Washington, D. C, where he will undergo an operation for chronic appendicitis under the supervision of Admiral Cary T. Grayson. , ; ; ! 1
