Won driving; second and third the same. TANGERINE, close up from the start, responded gamely when called on in the stretch and passing KNOT GRASS outstayed GLENBELLS in a close finish. GLENBELLS saved ground on the turns and closing a gap would have won in a few more strides. NIGHTBOAT raced on the inside for the entire race. THE BOY was rushed into the lead at once and, setting a great pace, drew away after entering the stretch, but tired in the closing strides and just lasted to win. JYNTEE suffered from early interference, but gradually improved her position when clear and, finishing fastest of all, would have won in another stride. ROUND ROBIN ran a good and game race, but was tiring at the finish. MERCURY raced in closest pursuit to the last eighth and tired. FORT CHURCHILL was in close quarters in the early running. SEA SINNER raced close up from the start and finished witli a rush. JOCK SCOT took the lead at his riders leisure on the bnek-s-tretch, but tired in the stretch drive. BON HOMME set a fast pace for the first mile and held on gamely when challenged. THUNDERCLAP responded gamely when called on and outstayed BDWINA. The latter quit after running well for a mile.
