They were the sire Aquas- I I cutum and the brood mare Money Down. I Aquascutum was bred in England by Lord i Marcus Beresford and was sold for some j I 5,000 to Sir J. Blundell Maple, and in his I i racing days won seven times. I Aquascutum has been in the stud for five I years. His best winner by By Jingo, which 1 twice carried off the Manchester Cup. as well ! as the Ascot Gold Cup. Aquascutums progeny i in all won in Ireland, England, India, America, South Africa, Australia, Uruguay and Germany 143 races, worth about 98 -000. Money Down was twelve years old, by Lesterlin — Morra, by Victor, and produced Ostelle, St. Gatien, Siller, Danegelt and Dunkirk, a 0,000 winner.
