WHITNE1 LEADING WINNING 0 WNER— LANG THE SADDLE SENSA TIOA The first spring meeting of the year has come and gone It was at Bowie, where the Southern Maryland Agricultural Association conducted twelve days of racing from April 1 to April 11 inclusive, during which time eighty-four races were run and 06,893 was distributed in purses, the daily average distribution amounting to ,907. Large fields made up the daily programs and, although the horses were mostly of the plater -aliber, they provided both spirited and interesting sport. The real outstanding feature of the meeting was the brilliant riding of jockey Lang, the leading American rider of last year. i I i j I I : I : ; I ! i ! | j ! ! I ; I I I ! The horses of IT. P.
