BECOBD FIELDS IN ENGLAND The highest number of horses for one days racing was at the Newmarket First Extra meeting of 1915 when 214 horses competed for seven races on the first day the Maiden 1 TwoYearOld Plate attracting fortythree On the second day 154 horses were started and on the closing afternoon 152 were seen out At the Newbury summer meeting on June 21 1910 129 horses competed in seven races the AllAged Stakes attracting thirty seven competitors
