TRAINEE CHASLSS OXX DEAD DEADNEW NEW YORK N Y May 12 Charles Oxx a veteran trainer of thoroughbred horses died in the Holy Family hospital in Brook ¬ lyn this morning The funeral will be conducted from the undertaking establish ¬ ment of Frank Dalton in DeKalb avenue Sunday Mr Oxx was seventy years of age and has been in rather poor health for some time A few days ago he had a stroke and was removed from the track to the hospital Among the good horses that were trained by Oxx were Lovlander with which he won the Suburban Rcseben the mighty sprin ¬ ter Ascension a mare of quality and Bay Star a jumper He trained many other good ones in his long connection with the turf
