Won easily; second and third driving. BOBBIE SHEA moved up fast after reaching the stretch and, taking the lend, was going nway through the last sixteenth. PRINCE WELLES saved much ground on the turns nnd stood a hard drive near the end. FIRST CONSUL closed a big gap in the last eighth. THE SWIMMER finished fast. WINDING THROUGH was well up in the early running and would have been closer at the finish but for being interfered with. COL TAYLOR ret a fast pace, but quit badly and swerved In the stretch. MAYOR CARREL was ouinac-d in the errly running, but came around the others in the stretch and, fini.hing gamely, passed GLENLIVET and won going away. The latter was hard ridden and -raced close up to RKNCELAW for a half mile and, after taking the lead, tired slightly in the last eighth. GREEN SPUING was prominent and hard ridden all the way. RENCELAW set a good p:ice, but began tiring after reaching the last eighth. STONE AGE dropped out of contention after going a half mile. j THIRD RACE 1 3-16 Uiles. July 9, 1921 1:5C 4 119. MERCHANT began slowly, but, saving ground when coming into the stretch, came fast through the last eighth. LOCUST LEAVES racd forwardly from the start. CORSON closed a gap and had no mishaps. FRKD KINNEY set the pace to the far turn and tired. STOCKWELL retired after running well to the stretch. WICKFORD tried to bolt at the start and was pulled up. ISENDITA was ridden wide in the stretch, but came with a rush and ran as if best. JAKIE HAY raced gamely all the way. FULL SPOON was interfered with just before reaching the stretch and tired near the end. MARY P. GARDNER quit after setting the pace brictly. Overweights Stump Jr., 2 pounds.
