JOCKEY CLUB HOLDS MEETING NEW YORK, N. Y., September 5. At a meeting of the Jockey Club at Belmont Park last Saturday several appointments were made and a hearing before the license committee was granted to jockey G. Yeargin. George H. Bull was appointed deputy steward for F. R. Hitchcock during the latters absence abroad and A. IT. Morris was appointed to act in the same capacity for William Woodward during Mr. Woodwardb absence abroad. J. E. Davis was appointed steward at Aqueduct, J. E. Cowdin at Jamaica and A. H. Morris at Empire City. The stewards present at the meeting were August Belmont, J. E. Cowdin, J. E. Davis A. II. Morris and J. E. Widener.
