ARMY RACING AT SYRACUSE NEW YORK, N. Y.. September 5 Pierro Lorillard, Jr., of Tuxedo, N. Y., a commissioner of the state fair which will be held at Syracuse from September 11 to September 10, reports a fine lot of entries and unusual interest in the army classes, especially thoso for troopers mounts. The offering of a challenge cup for stats troopers and cups for U. S. cavalry remounts, U. S. troopers mounts and officers chargers by the breeding bureau of the Jockey club, through its chairman, Frank K. Sturgis, has stimulated interest all along the line and an unusual showing is expected in these various classes.
