FAVORITES GET HOME FIRST Four- First Choices Score at Dufferin Park W. Taylor Saddle Star. TORONTO, Ont, September 5. Followers of form had an inning at Dufferin Park this afternoon when four favorites were returned winners. Blue Ribbon was the first to score. She found a soft spot in the initial dash and won with something to spare after showing the way during the greater part of the race. Assyrian Queen proved to be as easily best of the home-breads engaged in the second race after Lady Binmore was withdrawn. Lady Binmore, following her victory yesterday, was ineligible to the race today. Jockey W. Taylor, who piloted Assyrian Queen, again carried off the riding honors, as he also guided Avion to an easy victory in the third race. Making his debut at the local course jockey E. Taylor made good at his first attempt when he showed the way at all stages of the fourth with Rising Rock. This marked the fourth consecutive successful choice. The best finish of the day came with the running of the fifth, in which the three placed horses finished almost in perfect alignment. Bobby Allen barely lasted to earn the verdict from Panaman and Flib-bertygibbet, the latter running the fastest of all at the end. Tarascon and Summer Sigh had the best of their opponents practically throughout in the remaining races and won by comfortable margins. Dependence bled during the running of the second race. Port Light was excused from the third race on account of lameness. Despite the intense heat a crowd of over 5,000 was in attendance.
