NAME JEFFERSON STEWARDS Joseph A. Murphy, Herman P. Conkling and J. B. Campbell to Officiate at Nev Orleans. WINDSOR, Ont, September 5. Formal announcement has been made that Joseph A. Murphy, Herman P. Conkling and J. 11. Campbell would be the stewards at the Jefferson Park track, New Orleans, during tho coming winter. Immediately after the announcement Judge Murphy, acting for the stewards, made the following announcement. "The stewards are vested with all tho powers of a license commitee. They are also vested with full power to control tie racing proper. Notice is hereby given that no person under suspicion for fraud anywhere or whose license has been revoked or refused for fraud will be accorded even tho privilege of the grounds. Any owner or trainer who harbors such person or persona either as foreman, rubber, exercise boy or in any capacity or who, acting as agent or otherwise, has under his care or superin-tendency any horses partly or wholly th- property of any such persons will be denied all privileges." The stewards will take up later the question of regulating the valet andl jockey agent situation.
