VERONICA propped after the start, but worked her way up on the outside and finished with a rush. I FITZRUE ran a game race, but tired in the final sixteenth. GAY KAP was saved under slight restraint for the first turn of the field, then raced to the front when SWEET KISS tired and drew far away. SWEET KISS jumped well and showed a good order of speed, but tired. THEODOSIUS jumped awkwardly and tired badly. ENRICO CARUSO fell at the eleventh jump, but was remounted and finished the course. AZRAEL began slowly, but closed a gap and, coming fast through the stretch, would have won in another stride. INDIAN PRINCE showed the most early speed and finished gamely, but tiring.
