HAWTHORNE PROGRAM OUT The Illinois Jockey Club has arranged an attractive program for its inaugural meeting at Hawthorne. For opening day, Saturday, September 30, the Cudahy Handicap of ,000, at one mile and a sixteenth, for three-year-olds and over, is the chief offering, the other five contests being for purses of ,000 each and varying in distances from five and a half furlongs to one mile and seventy yards. The same policy is followed for the first eight days of the meeting, one ,000 and five ,000 races daily. The program books are now ready and will be distributed among the horsemen in various parts of this country and Canada.
