Won driving; second and third the same. ARDELLA moved up fast after rounding the fur turn and, finishing gamely under hard riding through the last sixteenth, outfinished REFORMER in the final drive. REFORMER displayed the most early speed and had no mishaps, but was tiring in the closing strides. EAU GALLIE ran a game nico and held the others safe. GRANDEST ran well. EVENING STAR quit badly. OAKLING moved up fast while rounding the stretch turn and, taking the lead midway of the stretch, held the race safe to the end. BELJOY set a good pace,, but tired in the stretch and was doing her best at the end to save second place. FAIR AND WARMER was taken back in the first quarter, but gained steadily through the final eighth and finished gamely. PLYMOUTH ROCK showed early speed, but tired in the final eighth. Won driving; second and third the same. TULSA gained steadily while rounding the far turn and, after a game race through the stretch, got up to win in the closing strides. TOPMOST set a good pace from the start and drew away after entering the stretch, but tired slightly when called on for a final effort. HINDOOSTAN dropped back on the far turn, then raced up into a contending position after entering the stretch, but was tiring at the end. MY LADDIE, outrun early, finished fast and gamely. MERRIMAC raced in nearest pursuit and moved up to the winner midway of the stretch, but was held safe at the end. FAIR GAIN failed to improve his position at any time and was not persevered with through the final eighth. FAIR VIRGINIA passed NENETTE when approaching the stretch turn and, taking a good lead, appeared an easy winner at the eighth post, but tired when challenged. VERITY, away slowly, closed up gamely through the stretch and easily disposed of NENETTE. The latter set a good pace and had no mishaps. BILLS LUCK found the route too far. GERMAIN raced ir closest pursuit to the stretch, but tired when called on for a final effort. AMERICAN S0LI5IER loomed up dangerously on the turn for home, but dropped back in the final eighth. GEORGE DUNCAN set a good pace until midway of the stretch, then tired badly. PIT was bumped and knocked sideways at the start. Overweights Royallieu, 1 pound; St. Germain, 4; George Duncan, 5.
