SPATS raced around the others on the stretch turn after moving up steadily and overcoming interference, thence made a fast finish and won in the last stride. WAYWARD LADY ran prominently from the start and, finishing gamely, outstayed ISOSCELES. The latter ran a good race, but tired right at the end. WAKE UP closed a gap and finished close up. ROMPING MARY, probably best, was away slowly, but gained steadily and was going fastest at the end. PRESTOLITE raced well for the entire way. LADY MADCAP was impeded and stumbled In me nrst quarter and dropped back, but came fast in the stretch. BEST PAL was done after going the first three-quarters and racing into the lead. ESCARPOLETTE quit after showing the most speed to the far turn. DIANA was knocked out of any chance soon after the start.
