; ; i VETERAN CANADIAN TURFMAN WINDSOR, Ont., October 4. Archie Wliyte, father of Edward and John Whyte, two well-known trainers, was a visitor at Kenilworth Park this afternoon. The elder Whyte, who is 82 years of age, judges all classes in the horse shows at many of the fairs in this section of Ontario. He is the governments representative and despite his advanced age is rated as one of the best judges in Canada. Judge Whyte was with the Hendries for fifty-two years and made an annual tour of England, Ireland, "Wales and Scotland in search of Cyldesdales. He imported for the late Col. William Hen-drie some of the best stallions ever brought nto Canada.
