PAULA raced into a good lead, but was unable to withstand the winner s rush and was tiring at the finish. ZAPATOS raced in close pursuit throughout and finished well. BILL BLACKWELL forced the early running and finished gamely, but tiring. RELIABILITY finished close up. MADGE F. was running fast at the end, after closing a big gap. DELHIMAR quit. MARINE CORPS suffered from interference several times during the running and was cut off when 1 he tried to get through at the eighth post in the homestretch.
