Start good and slow. Won easily; second and third driving. HOW FAHt took the lead at once and, showing great speed, drew away after rounding the last turn and held GADFLY safe in the final drive. GADFLY raced next to the rail in the early running and, steadily improving her position, made a fast and game finish. LUSTROUS, off forwardly, raced prominently throughout and outstayed CONTOUR at the end. The latter was forced to race wide on all tho turns and would have been third in a few more strides. BLUE BRUSH raced in closest pursuit of the leader in the early running and. coming fast through the final eighth, took a small lead and outgamed GUNSIGHT at the end. GUNSIGHT, under slight restraint in the early running, finished gamely under vigorous riding and was wearing the winner down la the last strides. GUELPH raced into an easy lead before entering the backstretch, but tired after go ins three-quarters and was crowded slightly in the last eighth. JUNO raced well under weak rldiLg.
