ATHANNA rushed into the lead in the first eighth and. keeping it easily under slight restraint, won easing up. DIXIE DICK saved ground on all the turns and was in close quarters at the sixteenth post, but finished fast when clear. ILLUSIONIST raced in closet-t pursuit to the last eighth and tired. Won driving; second and third the same. BOBBY ALLEN followed the early leaders closely and, coming through on the inside when entering the homestretch, passed MONEY after a hard drive. The latter was much used in racing NENETTE into defeat and setting a fast pace and could not withstand the winners challenge. NENETTE ran well, but tired in the stretch drive.
