LOWES COVETED YEARLING LEXINGTON, Ky., October IS. - John Lowe, though he has had several inquiries concerning the disposal of his yearling, half brother to the speedy two-year-old filly Miss Star of the Riviera Stable string, thus far has declined to put a price on the son of Troutbeck and Istar, by Von Tromp. Lowe commissioned John S. Barbce to buy for his account at the sale of Edward Ce-brians yearlings at Saratoga in August two of the four colts by Troutbeck and Barbee bought for him the Istar colt and the Little Buttercup colt, each for ,500. A representative of the Riviera Stable journeyed from New York to Louisville last Sunday and saw the colt in action, but was unable to get Lowe to name a price that he would be willing to take for him. Edward Cebrian, the breeder of Miss Star, is a resident of San Francisco, but has his thoroughbreds in Kentucky. Miss Star and her half brother were both foaled near Lexington, the former at Glen Helen Stud and the latter at Keeneland Farm, which now L: under lease to Cebrian
