LOWES COVETED YEARLING LEXINGTON, Ky., October IS. - John Lowe, though he has had several inquiries concerning the disposal of his yearling, half brother to the speedy two-year-old filly Miss Star of the Riviera Stable string, thus far has declined to put a price on the son of Troutbeck and Istar, by Von Tromp. Lowe commissioned John S. Barbce to buy for his account at the sale of Edward Ce-brians yearlings at Saratoga in August two of the four colts by Troutbeck and Barbee bought for him the Istar colt and the Little Buttercup colt, each for ,500. A representative of the Riviera Stable journeyed from New York to Louisville last Sunday and saw the colt in action, but was unable to get Lowe to name a price that he would be willing to take for him. Edward Cebrian, the breeder of Miss Star, is a resident of San Francisco, but has his thoroughbreds in Kentucky.
