Won handily; second and third driving. OVERTAKE gradually improved his position from a slow beginning and, coming fast through the stretch, passed QUESADA "and won going away under hard riding. QUESADA was forced wide on the first turn, but raced into a prominent position on the baekstretch, then raced POLLY WALE into defeat while rounding the last turn and took the lead, but tired in the stretch drive. THE ROLL CALL finished fast and outstayed POLLY AVALE. The latter rushed to the front, but was much used in setting ! the pace and tired. TnE PERUVIAN and EUNNYOL showed speed for a half mile. MY REVERIE, suited by the short distance, raced TEX-LEC into defeat in the first half mile and raced into the lead in the stretch, but was under hard "riding to withstand LAST STRAWS challenge. The latter improved her position gradually after going three-eighths and made a fast and game finish. TEX-LEC set a fast early pace and raced well to the eighth post, then tired. PRINCE JAMES was taken back while going to the first turn and followed EXODUS closely under slight restraint until rounding the last turn, where he raced into the lead and won with speed in reserve. EXODUS began about three lengths behind the leaders, but quickly raced into the lead and set a fast pace, but quickly succumbed to the winners challenge. CONSORT was a forward contender all the way and took the lead in the stretch, but tired in the last seventy yards. ORDERLY was a contender throughout and finished gamely. WINNECONNE had no mishaps. MAIZE was in close quarters on the last turn and finished gamely when clear. LACKAAVANNA worked her way up on the inside and finished cloe up.
