SPECIALTYS METROPOLITAN LONDON. England, October 2. Leahys Specialty, the four-year-old son of Persian Knight Arrogant, scored by half a length in the Metropolitan Stakes at the Randwick course, Sydney. X. S. W., today before a crowd of 70,000 spectators, according to a cable dispatch received here. AV. G. Days Basella Avas second, with Lee Ramsays Purser a half length behind. The weather was excellent and the track at its best. Twenty-one faced the starter. The winner covered the mile and five-eighths I in 2:17?i. Specialty was quoted at 16 to 1, Basefla was 50 to 1 and the Purser quotation was 5 to 2.
