LOG CABIN STABLE PLANS New Racing Firm Will Enter New NewYork York the Coming Season SeasonWith With Juvenile Band NEW YORK N T February 5 A new racing firm will show its colors in New York this year when the Log Cabin Stud will come to the sport This racing firm is com ¬ posed of two sportsmen who at present have half a dozen of the Brookdalebred twoyear olds in stable 27 at Belmont Park in the care of Albert Simons SimonsEach Each one of these young racers was care ¬ fully chosen and it is probable there will be other purchases before the beginning of the spring season Those Simons has at this time have all been liberally engaged and it is ex ¬ pected that the Log Cabin Stud will grow to an important place on the turf turfOf Of the string three are colts and three fillies The colts are Intrepid a chestnut son of Whisk Broom II and Manzanita by Meddler Reliable a bay son of All Gold and Wendy by Peter Pan and Resolution a bay son of Pennant and Yankee Girl by Sir Dixon DixonThe The fillies are Tonala a bay daughter of Broomstick and Polly Flinders by Burgomas ¬ ter Blissful a bay daughter of Broomstick and Paradise II by Adam and Fly By a chestnut daughter of Pennant and Whisk By by Whisk Broom II IIThese These are a particularly goodlooking band and they have shown Simons enough to war ¬ rant the belief that they will make good in the best company companyIn In choosing the name of Reliable for the sen of All Gold and Wendy there is brought to mind the sterling sprinter of the same name that raced under the silks of the late William C AVhitney and later for Edward R Thomas The older Reliable was a son of Watercress and Arnette by Midlothian and in 1903 and 1901 he was one of the best sprinters in training He was sent to the Argentine in 1909
