RENO RACING IN JUNE SAN FRANCISCO Cal February 5 Renos first twentyfiveday race meeting for 1923 will open June 1 according to an of ficial announcement made by manager Wil ¬ liam P Kyne who has leased the track from the Silver State Jockey Club ClubKyne Kyne will also come back with a second twentyfiveday meeting in September if the Vancouver B C fall meetings are complete by that time His lease permits of two thirtyday meetings during the year but he thinks that is too long a time timeThe The program has not as yet been com ¬ pleted but Kyne says that if he can see his way clear no race will be worth less than i 350 Last year 70 per cent of the races called for 300 300There There will be much competition for horses explained Kyne yesterday especial ¬ ly in the Middle West where they offer as much as 500 per race but Reno cannot go that strong I want to increase the value of the purses however howeverOfficials Officials have not as yet been selected but they are likely to be the same as last year
