TRAINER SMARTS CHARGES «— ■ Public Stable Which Wintered at Benning Now at Bowie. ♦ Samuel Hotts Has Sixteen and J. A. Buchanan Fieltt Horses in F.stahlishment — Six Other Owners Represented. BOWIE. Mil.. April 10. One of the largest stables now racing at the Bowie meeting is that of Matt Smart, public trainer, who wintered his charges at the Benning track, Washington, I. C. Smart is handling thirty-one horses altogether and eight owners are represented in the lot. Sixteen of the horses are owned by Samuel Ross and eight of these are two-year-olds. J. A. Buchanan has eight horses in the trainers charge and the seven remaining horses in the stable are divided between six owners. Jockeys Barrett. Sims and Campbell are doing the stable riding.
